Whit's Room

Okay, this picture has nothing to do with anything, but I'm just not smart enough to remove it.

This is the tent over Whit's bed that my mom made. So cute!

These are some cutouts of a bear and cave that I made into chalk boards.

Again, accidentally put this in twice and don't know how to remove it.

This would be Kodiak. Whit has had this bear since he was a baby. It was a gift. This is not something I would buy, but I sure am glad I have it now. It's perfect!

I'm actually pretty impressed with myself when it comes to this tree. I never thought I would be able to pull this off. It was one of those deals where I just drew it really fast and painted it in. It took me a whole 20 minutes. Then I used a sponge for the leaves.

Once we learned we were having a girl this time around, I started moving kids around and redoing rooms. Henry moved to Whit's room (we're still working on that), the baby will go in Henry's room, and Whit got a new room. He wanted a camping room, so that's what he got. It is finally coming together. He just needs his Mammie to finish his tee pee, and it will be complete. I just thought I would share a few pictures. I'm still not finished with the nursery, but will post as soon as I am.

Halloween

This little cat followed us the whole evening.

Okay, so I know that it has been a long time. Like, since June. It's really embarrassing. Anyway I just thought I would share a few pictures of my brave safari guy and vicious lion. They both had so much fun trick or treating. I was surprised how much Henry enjoyed it. I promise to try and do better about updating this thing!!!!!

More Disney

Here are a few more pictures I wanted to share from the trip.

Disney World

Every year Billy and I go to this conference for a board that Billy is on with A&M, and this year it was at Disney World. So, we decided to take the kiddos and the Grandmothers and make it a family vacation. We really had a good time, but I do have to say, I'm not very excited to go back. I'm more of a hang out on the beach kind of person and am not one to be on a schedule. Not a good combination for Disney World. Watching the expressions on Whit's face made it all worth it though. I broke down and hired a guide for our one long day a Magic Kingdom, and I have never been so happy to spend money. He was so worth every penny. We got so much accomplished! The next day we went to Animal Kingdom on our own. We spent 2 hours and only did the safari. So, the guide was worth every penny!!!! Whit also got a private tour of Mickey's house all because of our guide.

He is his father's son!

Have you ever seen two people look so much a like. Everything about them in this picture is identical. The hair, the look on their face, everything!!!! Every day Whit does something, or makes a face that is so much like Billy it is unreal!

Whit's Superhero Party

Whit's Superhero Party was so much fun! Henry had a great time, and loved his cape!!!

Trying to keep Henry out of the cake was a full time job. The kid likes to eat!

We did invite Spiderman to come, and he showed up. He walked up and all the kids ran in the other direction. It took them about 10 minutes to warm up. He was a little wierd. He also brought a group of people with him for face painting and balloons. It was Batgirl, a princess, and two clowns... that had more fun on the playground than the kids. Very random!!!!! Don't quite know where they all fit in with the superhero theme, but oh well.

Henry the Hurricane

Henry is such a mess! Billy calls him "Hurricane", and now Whit does too. We can hardly keep up with him. He is just that kid that is always a mess. No matter what, he will always have food on this clothes or face, a runny nose, and dirt somwhere on his body. His favorite thing is to get up on their little table and stand in the middle of it and yell "Sit!" He says it over and over again. He is so stinkin' cute! He decided he wanted to eat ketchup for lunch the other day, and this was the outcome. I wouldn't have him any other way.....it's our Henry!

Whit's Arm

Almost 4, and we had our first trip to the ER. Pretty good huh? Poor Whit fell on the playground at school Thursday, and broke his arm. We spent all weekend not knowing for sure if it was broken because the ER doctor wanted us to visit a pediatric orthopedic. So, we did that today, and it was confirmed that it is broken. He could not get a cast because it is too swollen, but we go back in a couple of weeks to see if he will get one then, or if we will just stick with the splint and bandages. He has been so wonderful through all of this. I never saw him shed a tear. He cried when it happened, but that's it. Poor little guy. No more soccer, swimming, or gymnastics though. He will be so sad when we don't go. His bandaged up arm sure it cute!!!!

First Soccer Game

Our little Whit started soccer this spring, and had his first game last Saturday. It was so cute to watch these guys out on the field. The majority of them are so clueless......mainly my son! Though Whit was very excited to start soccer, he has been quick to make up his mind that he does not like it. Oh well, it's going to be a long six weeks. Practice is the worst. He runs around acting like a monster and playing with his shadow. I just keep reminding myself that he is almost a year younger than everyone else. Maybe he'll get into it before the end of the season?

Whit is the one on the very right. The one that is not in the game at all, just walking around.

Here they are saying the YMCA pledge. So sweet!!!!

Don't get too excited, this is just warm-up. Whit was done by the time the game actually started. He was excited about kicking the ball in the goal though. That's all that matters, right?

One more practice kick!

Easter Pictures

We went to the arboretum the other day to get the yearly bunny picture taken. We had so much fun! It is really cute this year, and the picture turned out great. I love going there and just letting the boys run free while I snap pictures like a crazy person. I think we'll be going a lot this spring!

Trip to Mammie & Opa's!

Last week we went to my parents for a few days. It was my dad's birthday, and they are also building a new house, so we wanted to see how it was going. Anyway, Whit and Henry love to go there, because the only thing to do is play outside, which they both LOVE!!! They seriously play outside the entire day and get sooooooo dirty. Whit had so much fun climbing up and down this pile of dirt at the new house. He did it for a good hour......I think I need to get one of those.

My parents live on a big ranch and it is lambing season. We love to go during this time because of all of the babies. They have a couple of orphans that had to be bottle fed, which the boys love to help with. Henry wanted a turn.....literally!!! Guess it was lunch time. He cried the whole way home for that bottle.

Whit got his turn too. It doesn't last long though, the lambs are a little rough and end up knocking the bottle out of their hands.

They have a big barn that they keep their cubes and hay in. The boys love shoveling the cubes, and of course, climbing all over the hay. This is Henry's first time on top! He was so proud of himself.

Tracing Letters

Whit was refusing to trace letters. I think it was because they are all so small. So, I was looking around and I found the perfect thing. I found these huge dry erase traceable letters. But, they were going to be around $70 for both sets....yikes. Instead of spending that I thought I would try to make some. So, I just printed out some letters, which I got from http://www.apples4theteacher.com, and cut them out. I attached a tag to each one of them so Whit had something to hold on to without getting in the way of his tracing. Then, I laminated them, and cut them out again. Whit now LOVES to trace letters. He does it multiple times daily. The marker comes right off with a wipe. Some people have asked me to share this with them, so I thought I would just put it on my blog. He is even writing some letters on his own now!!!

Star Wars

This is just your average Monday afternoon Star Wars fight. They will do this every once in a while. They each pick up a golf club and go at it. Funny thing is, Henry usually wins. He will just back poor Whit up into the corner, or knock the club right out of his hand. It usually ends in a real fight or crying, but it sure is fun to watch! Poor Whit better get ready, because Henry is an aggressive one.

Kiss

Sometimes being a brother is even
better than being a superhero. ~Marc Brown

These two love one another so much! They are really starting to play well together. I love watching and listening to them. They just laugh and laugh at each other. I'm not saying they don't have their moments, but I think this picture is one of the sweetest I have of the two of them. If only they could be this sweet all of the time!
